Peter Penev, Founder & Managing Director

Peter Penev is Founder and Managing Director of PVP Hospitality LLC. In his capacity he provides institutional style advice to clients with primary focus on new development, contract negotiations, repositioning and pre-opening services. 

​

Prior to this, Peter worked as a Vice President of Acquisitions & Development for Hyatt Hotel Corporation responsible for development of all Hyatt brands in the Middle East and Africa.  During his tenure, he was responsible for the successful execution of over 30 management and franchise deals across the region. Prior joining the transactional side of the business, Peter was Director of Feasibility and Development Finance for Hyatt Hotel Corporation. Prior to joining the team in Europe, he spent four years in Chicago and was instrumental in the underwriting Select Service deals from the launch of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House brands in North America.

Before joining Hyatt, Peter worked for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in various roles with increasing responsibility, with focus on operational analysis and hotel finance. He received a bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, School of Hotel Administration with a focus in Real Estate and Finance.

Tejas Shah is part of PVP Hospitality's on the ground presence in East Africa. He provides support to Owners and key stakeholders in each project, to create formal structure around development and asset management of hotel projects, planned and operational, in the region. The goal is to provide a solution-centric advice keeping in mind the interests of the parties involved.

 

Prior to joining PVP Hospitality, Tejas worked with Hyatt Hotels Corporation as the Regional Vice President – Development, Sub-Saharan Africa and as the Director of Development in South Asia. In his 13+ years tenure in Development, Tejas focused on growing Hyatt’s portfolio in varied emerging markets across different geographies in Africa and the Indian sub-continent. He established strong relationships in the industry and worked on 50+ deals across 40 cities in 10 countries. Before joining Development, he was the Operations Analyst for Hyatt and handled the corporate finance function reviewing Annual Plans and monthly performance of all the Hyatt hotels in India.

 

A Chartered Accountant by education, Tejas brings an analytical approach to the business with a strong focus on building connections.
